Swindon's Smokefree Award Scheme

Go for Gold!

Calling all employers!

If you have a smoking at work policy, have you got your Smokefree award? Perhaps you’ve only got the bronze or the silver award and want to upgrade?

Perhaps you don’t have any controls on smoking (and smoke) in the workplace? You could at least send for the Smokefree Award application pack and find out what you can do to improve working conditions for yourself and your employees – and be able to offer your customers smokefree conditions!

Get ahead of the coming legislation – and reduce the risks associated with tobacco smoke pollution. Those risks include health, absenteeism, reduced productivity, complaints and litigation, so you might want to find out more….

Choosing Health

A smoker’s right to smoke ends at the next person’s nose! The White Paper “Choosing Health” made it very clear that people who choose not to smoke or who are vulnerable because they are to young to protest or dependent, should be protected from the harmful effects of second hand smoke.

The Smokefree Award scheme encourages and supports employers who take steps to protect their staff by introducing and implementing a smoking at work policy.Advice includes how to involve employees, how to avoid disputes, and the many advantages of developing a smokefree workplace.
