Swindon Smokefree Partnership

What is the Smokefree Swindon Partnership?

The Smokefree Swindon Partnership is a group of representatives from a range of organisations, all working together to improve the health of people in Swindon in line with national and local policy.

Choosing Health - A New White Paper

The recent White Paper “Choosing Health” made it very clear that breathing second hand smoke is a serious health risk that must be addressed. We aim to reduce the impact of smoking on everyone in the Borough. That means that we will do all that we can to protect non-smokers, such as employees, customers and children, from second hand smoking. We are already providing support through advice and counselling to employers and businesses, as well as to smokers who want to help themselves to better health by stopping smoking.

Consider Others

If you are a smoker who doesn’t want to stop, how will this affect you? We are not saying you have to stop smoking, but we are asking you to think about who else is affected by the smoke from your cigarettes – and take steps to protect them, especially colleagues and children. In some areas, the law will protect people. Of course, if you decide to quit smoking, even better!
