You’re not alone! Seven out of ten smokers say they would like to give up. Stopping smoking is the single biggest thing you can do to improve your health.
Your NHS Stop Smoking Service offers support for anyone considering stopping smoking. It provides practical information, advice and support to quit.
Specially Trained to Help You
The service has specially trained advisors who will offer you the support you need in either one to one or group sessions - the choice is yours. They can also advise on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and Zyban and how to use these products.
We work in partnership with GP surgeries, pharmacies and a range of local community projects to ensure you can find help at a time and place convenient to you.
Support In the Workplace
The Swindon Smokefree initiative encourages all workplaces in Swindon including pubs, restaurants, factories, offices and leisure facilities to make their premises smokefree.
A wide range of workplaces have already pledged their commitment to providing smokefree environments for their employees, by creating no smoking policies to protect their staff from the dangers of second hand smoke.
If you are an employer who is looking to introduce a Smokefree Workplace policy we can provide support to help you develop a framework for managing a non-smoking environment.
